Job description

Summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties

  • You will lead program planning, execution, and life-cycle management activities supporting Nuclear Weapons Surety initiatives and strategic deterrence capabilities.
  • You will serve as the principal advisor and focal point for assigned programs, providing recommendations on program direction, technology investments, and capability development.
  • You will provide programmatic oversight of technical efforts supporting security, safety, infrastructure, logistics, sustainment, and operational readiness requirements.
  • You will develop, interpret, and implement policies, procedures, strategic guidance, and governance processes that support organizational objectives and mission execution.
  • You will oversee program cost, schedule, performance, and risk management to ensure successful execution of assigned acquisition and sustainment efforts.
  • You will lead Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) activities, including Future Years Defense Program, Program Objective Memorandum (POM), procurement, operations and maintenance, and research and development funding initiatives.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading, planning, developing, and/or executing nuclear weapons programs initiatives or strategies to ensure align with mission objectives. This announcement uses the Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) Business Management & Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.
