Job Description

We are looking for a Project Developer to join our Romanian team and support the development of renewable energy projects, with a focus on solar PV and BESS.

The role will cover the full development lifecycle, from early-stage development through permitting, grid connection, technical coordination and handover to construction.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Coordinate the development of renewable energy projects in Romania, ensuring progress across permitting, grid, technical, legal and financial workstreams.

  • Manage key project milestones, timelines, budgets, risks and development assumptions.

  • Coordinate with engineering firms, consultants, legal advisors, landowners, suppliers, public authorities and grid operators.

  • Review technical documentation and ensure compliance with local regulations, grid requirements and internal standards.

  • Identify technical, regulatory, permitting or grid-related risks and propose practical mitigation measures.

  • Work closely with internal teams including Engineering, Legal, Finance, Construction and Business Development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, project management or technical coordination in Romania.

  • Experience with solar PV, wind or BESS projects. BESS experience will be highly valued.

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience managing external stakeholders such as consultants, authorities, landowners, suppliers or grid operators.

  • Understanding of permitting, grid connection, technical studies and project development milestones as well as project budgets, financial assumptions and basic investment indicators.

  • Fluency in Romanian and English. Spanish would me a nice-to-have.

We are looking for a hands-on profile with strong coordination skills, able to anticipate risks, manage multiple stakeholders and move projects forward in a structured way.
