Salmon is currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team.
Position Type: Full-time
Location: Houston, TX
Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary
Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate multi-discipline engineering and design activities
- Communicate with clients and third parties regarding project scope, status, and technical interface issues.
- Provide concise, factual project designs, allowing effective construction/installation
- Work with other engineers, designers, construction QA/QC, and contractor
- Check drawings and calculations.
- Visit client sites to evaluate the site, project requirements, and conditions.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 5 - 15 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- 2+ years of project engineer experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
- Attention to detail.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
Experience Preferred:
- Professional Engineering license.
- Previous plant facilities experience preferred.
- Previous experience in oil & gas industry.
