Role: Project Manager - EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction)
Duration: Permanent - Full Time
Shift: 9Am - 6PM
Work Mode: On Site, 6 working days a week
Location: Chennai
We’re looking for a Project Manager - EPC to take end-to-end ownership of electrical contracting projects across factories, infrastructure, buildings, and renewable energy installations.
This is a Project Management role where you’ll plan, execute, and deliver projects ranging from ₹5 - 30 Cr, managing cross-functional teams and client expectations while ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality stay on track.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the full lifecycle of electrical EPC projects from planning and estimation to on-site execution and commissioning
- Prepare detailed project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and delivery milestones
- Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and site teams to maintain quality, safety, and timeline goals
- Serve as the single point of contact for clients, handling project updates, escalations, and scope changes
- Drive budget adherence, track actuals vs projections, and proactively control costs
- Identify risks early and implement mitigation plans to avoid project delays or quality issues
- Report on progress, flag delays, and share status updates with leadership and external stakeholders
- Constantly refine internal project management processes to increase efficiency and reduce delivery friction
Requirements
What You Need to Qualify
- 5–8 years of experience in EPC project management
- Proven experience managing EPC projects in the ₹5–30 Cr range
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Industrial preferred)
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is a plus
- Familiarity with low and medium voltage systems, substation installations, and allied infrastructure
- Strong command of project management tools like MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites across South India as required
