Job Description

Groupsoft is seeking two highly organized and tech-forward Project Managers with deep SAP expertise to join our leadership team. 

In this role, you will be responsible for steering complex digital transformation initiatives within the Retail, Fashion, and CPG industries, ensuring they are delivered with precision, within budget, and on schedule.

We are looking for leaders that can balance technical SAP knowledge with the art of client diplomacy and the science of modern AI-driven project management.


Position Overview

  • Role: Project Manager

  • Experience: 10–15 years

  • Location: Pune or Hyderabad

  • Employment Type: Full-time. On direct payroll

  • Travel: High. Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, primarily focused on Asian engagements


Key Responsibilities

  • Project planning and sizing: Accurately estimate project complexity and sizing. Define resourcing metrics, project phases, and realistic timelines to ensure feasible delivery

  • Delivery excellence: Work seamlessly with internal architects, consultants, and delivery teams to deploy best-in-class SAP solutions while maintaining strict adherence to budgets and deadlines

  • Primary customer touchpoint: Act as the central point during project engagements. Lead project discussions, manage regular reporting, and proactively address any client concerns, risks, or roadblocks

  • Client and scope management: Set and manage clear client expectations from day one. Expertly handle change requirements and mitigate scope creep to keep projects on track

  • SAP digital transformation: Act as the bridge between business needs and technical execution, leveraging your and internal domain expertise in Retail, Fashion, or CPG to ensure solution relevance

  • AI-driven productivity: Utilize new AI tools to optimize project reporting, risk assessment, and team productivity

  • Mentorship: Take an active role in guiding and mentoring young professionals, fostering their growth, and ensuring team cohesion

  • Brand support: Collaborate with the marketing team to translate project successes into compelling content to enhance the Groupsoft brand



Requirements

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: 10–15 years of professional experience, with a heavy focus on SAP project management.

  • Domain expertise: Significant experience in the Retail, Fashion, or CPG industries is essential

  • Tech-savvy: Proficient with modern project management software and a demonstrated ability to use new AI tools for workflow efficiency

  • Leadership and communication: Strong customer-facing presence; must be able to influence stakeholders and navigate difficult conversations with ease

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field. SAP certification along with that in PMP highly desirable
