Job Description
BAE Systems is hiring a Proposal Program Manager to support Strategic Submarine Business Pursuits for our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business. The Proposal Program Manager will work across functional lines to develop, present, and meet submarine strategy objectives. The PM will use appropriate project management principles and tools to monitor and control proposal activities within the submarine directorate portfolio. The role will report to the Director, Submarine Programs.

- This role is open to a hybrid work schedule in either Louisville, KY, Maple Grove, MN, Sterling Heights, MI, or Falls Church, VA.
- The workday will begin around 8:00AM
- The role works on a 9/80 schedule where you will have every other Friday off
- There may be up to 25% domestic travel
Responsibilities:
- Direct, coordinate, and exercise authority for planning, organizing, and controlling capture activities that support strategic pursuits.
- Support initiatives to identify new business development for the business area.
- Support the development of strategic and financial plans for the company.
- Establish, maintain, and promote good customer relationships.
- Ensure the coordination of work tasks with customer representatives.
- Develop and present pursuit and strategy status at reviews with the Program Director and Senior Leadership.
- Ensure customers are informed on status and progress of assigned projects.
- Coordinate reviews and direct the preparation of documentation and reports as directed in the BAE Systems Lifecycle Management Guidelines and the Operational Framework.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Develop capture plans and direct the development and preparation of proposals in response to various requests.
- Ensure that work statements are adequately defined and that staffing requirements are correct.
- Assist in development of multi-year strategic plans for the business area.
- Support fact-finding and contract negotiations with the customer.
- Represent the company at appropriate customer or sponsor meetings.

Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Experience in Program/Project Management
- Experience in Program Scope Management and Cost Estimating, including estimate to complete/estimate at completion (ETC/EAC) processes
- Experience in Stakeholder Management and Relationship Building, including the coordination of work tasks with key stakeholders and program leadership
- Ability to interface with senior internal and customer personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations
- Ability to initiate, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to manage risk and resolve issues in a variety of complex situations
