CGI is looking for a skilled Python Full Stack Developer with strong experience in Python, Django, FastAPI, REST APIs, Angular and/or React. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable web applications across both backend and frontend layers.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with databases, APIs, authentication, cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Python, Django and FastAPI.
Develop secure and high-performance RESTful APIs and backend services.
Build responsive and reusable frontend applications using Angular and/or React.
Develop frontend components using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
Integrate frontend applications with Python-based backend APIs.
Design database schemas and develop efficient queries using PostgreSQL/MySQL.
Work with ORM technologies such as Django ORM and SQLAlchemy.
Implement authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth2 and role-based access control.
Develop asynchronous APIs and background processing where required.
Write unit, integration, and API tests using PyTest/unittest and appropriate frontend testing frameworks.
Debug application issues and perform performance optimization.
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, sprint planning, and technical design.
Work with Git and modern CI/CD practices.
Containerize applications using Docker and support deployment to cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
Maintain technical documentation and follow clean-code, SOLID, and secure-development practices.
Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and other developers.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience in Python 3.x
Strong experience with Django
Hands-on experience with Django REST Framework (DRF)
Strong experience with FastAPI
Good understanding of RESTful API development
Strong experience with Angular and/or React
Good knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript
Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
Experience in integrating frontend applications with REST APIs
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL / MySQL
Experience with Django ORM / SQLAlchemy
Good understanding of authentication and authorization, including JWT/OAuth2
Experience with Git, GitHub/GitLab, and version control
Good knowledge of unit testing and API testing using PyTest/unittest
Experience with Docker and containerized applications
Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of AWS / Azure / GCP is preferred
Good understanding of microservices architecture
Knowledge of Redis, Celery, Kafka/RabbitMQ is an added advantage
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles
Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
