Job Summary

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. The role involves building robust backend systems, integrating APIs and cloud services, and driving engineering best practices to support enterprise platforms, including data-driven and pricing solutions.

1) Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications using strong OOP principles and design patterns.
Write clean, modular, reusable, and testable code aligned with enterprise coding standards.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systems with databases and cloud platforms.
Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Perform code reviews, refactoring, and continuous improvement to enhance maintainability and performance.
Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with enterprise standards.
Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) and maintain high unit/integration test coverage.
Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
Diagnose and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
Contribute to architecture discussions, system design, and technical documentation.
Support cloud deployments, monitoring, and observability for reliable system performance.


2) Required Skills

Strong proficiency in Python programming with deep expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns (SOLID principles, modular design).
Hands-on experience in API development (RESTful services) and microservices-based architecture.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native development.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and version control (Git).
Experience with unit testing frameworks (PyTest, unittest) and TDD practices.
Understanding of containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration concepts (Kubernetes – exposure preferred).
Strong experience in debugging, performance tuning, and optimization.
Knowledge of secure coding practices and authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).
Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments.


3) Preferred Skills

Domain experience in Insurance industry, especially Pricing / Rating / Underwriting systems.
Exposure to data-driven systems, analytics platforms, or pricing engines.
Familiarity with Guidewire, Earnix, or similar insurance platforms.
Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and distributed systems.
Knowledge of data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT pipelines, Snowflake, DBT) – added advantage.
Exposure to large-scale enterprise applications and high-availability systems.
Experience with automation frameworks and scripting for DevOps workflows.


4) Nice-to-Have (Screening Advantage)

Experience in Python-based data processing (Pandas, NumPy)
Exposure to observability tools (Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus)
Prior experience in regulated enterprise environments (banking/insurance)

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage a team of technical professionals working on sql, data analysis, and python projects

2. Design, develop, and implement complex sql queries and scripts for data analysis

3. Analyze data sets using python to extract valuable insights and patterns

4. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope

5. Provide technical guidance and support to team members

6. Ensure adherence to best practices in sql, data analysis, and python development

7. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide innovative solutions

Skill Requirements
