QA Engineer

Requirements
We're looking for a well-organised person who is passionate about technology. The ideal candidate should have:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science;
- 3+ years of experience as a QA engineer for full-stack applications in an Agile development environment;
- Strong QA skills (troubleshooting, bug isolation and reporting, good understanding of testing concepts, methodologies and processes);
- Experience testing web applications, backend services, and APIs;
- Knowledge of QA automation architecture, methodologies, processes, and tools;
- 1+ years' experience in test automation;
- Working experience with web end-to-end testing/automation frameworks like Playwright or similar;
- Experience automating functional and integration testing;
- Experience in any programming language;
- Curiosity about, or prior exposure to, testing AI-powered features or LLM-based applications (e.g. evaluating model outputs, prompt/response validation, agentic workflows) is a strong plus;
- Ability to work in an energising environment with rapidly changing requirements;
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to autonomously solve problems, as well as collaborate with direct and extended teams;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

It will be a plus:
- ISTQB Foundation or any other QA certification;
- Familiarity with testing approaches for non-deterministic systems (e.g. LLM output evaluation, regression testing for AI agents, hallucination/edge-case detection).

Job Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of Bitdefender's next-generation products, including applied AI and agent-based capabilities. You will be responsible for:
- Developing, maintaining, documenting, and executing test plans for Bitdefender products, including AI-driven and agentic features;
- Reporting issues through the bug tracking system, effectively following up and communicating test results;
- Performing tests against builds and test procedures;
- Conducting root-cause analysis and tracking defect resolution to completion;
- Researching, recommending, and implementing tools as needed to improve the testing process, product quality, and test automation coverage;
- Designing, implementing, and executing automated test suites;
- Contributing to test strategies for LLM-based and agentic product components, including validating behavior consistency, response quality, and edge-case handling where applicable.
- All of this with respect to the standards of quality and stability Bitdefender proudly promotes.
- You will work in an Agile Scrum environment, interacting with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, software developers, UX designers, and other QA engineers.
