Job Description

As our backend QA Tech Lead your primary emphasis will focus on coordinating quality assurance efforts across multiple business units. Establishing standards, methodologies, and approaches for automated testing, while driving their implementation through collaboration and guidance. The objective is to ensure consistent, high-quality software delivery in a web microservices environment by fostering alignment and best practices organisation-wide.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and promote standards for the design, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive automated tests.
  • Coordinate with teams across business units to ensure efficient testing processes and methodologies that support high-quality software products.
  • Guide the development of automated tests and frameworks to address functional, regression, performance, load testing, and other quality aspects, driving their adoption across multiple units to maintain a stable and scalable application ecosystem.
  • Oversee the coordination of testing infrastructure to support automated testing, ensuring observability, rapid feedback, and the utilisation of industry-standard tools and frameworks through cross-unit collaboration.
  • Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders from various business units to understand product requirements, design unified test strategies, and provide expert guidance on quality standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate the rollout of test strategies across business units, including the development of test plans, facilitation of exploratory testing, and establishment of standardised metrics for consistent evaluation.
  • Compile and synthesise test results from multiple sources into comprehensive reports and dashboards, communicate insights to development teams and stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyse aggregated test results from across business units, identify opportunities for improvement, and partner with relevant teams to resolve issues and enhance overall test coverage.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members organisation-wide, fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional development in automated quality assurance without direct supervisory responsibilities.
