- To ensure effective process and business performance, under minimal supervision, works with local operations and other staff to identify issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop and implement corrective actions.
- Takes an active role in helping drive continuous improvement by developing quality metrics, including Statistical Process Controls, and analysis of data.
- Develops basic to complex processes and process maps.
- To fulfill accreditation, regulatory and business requirements, under minimal supervision, participates in, or leads operational process improvement through metrics, problem identification, root cause analysis and developing and implementing corrective actions.
- To fulfill accreditation and regulatory requirements collaborates with Accreditation Services for planning and executing external assessments.
- Manages local accreditation/regulatory external accreditations and assessments.
- To fulfill accreditation and regulatory requirements plans and conducts internal audits to ISO standard requirements, local scheme requirements, as well as business related audits (ISO 27001) that have been assigned.
- Facilitates resolution of non-conformances by identifying owners, working with staff with root cause analysis and appropriate corrective actions.
- To achieve business results and performance requirements, designs, implements and maintains local Quality Systems under the supervision of Quality Engineering Management.
- May also be responsible for local Quality support at one or more sites under the supervision of Quality Management.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Preferred - University degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, or related field plus generally six years of directly related experience.
- Detailed knowledge of quality systems and process improvement principles, tools and techniques including quality and business excellence models (e.g., ISO 9001, 17025, 17065, Lean Sigma, Baldrige / Shingo).
- Demonstrated knowledge of auditing and CAPA Principles.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct internal quality audits, root cause analysis and plan/implement corrective action.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, to interact with all levels of the organization, and to present and facilitate discussions of the findings.
- Ability to lead improvement teams to develop mid-level to complex processes and process maps.
