Our client Risk department is now looking for a Senior Quantitative Developer – R, Python, Cloud Migration & Risk Systems
We are looking for an individual capable of working autonomously while drawing on insights and guidance from other team members.
Tasks:
· Act as R expert and tech lead to support the migration of the R-Framework, including all packages, interfaces, and dependencies, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to business operations.
· Drive the reconciliation of large datasets, such as market data, between different Apps, ensuring the highest standards of data quality, integrity, and accuracy throughout the migration process.
· Lead the adaptation of the R-Framework to fully leverage the new REST API and JSON structures, enhancing integration, functionality, and performance
· Support with the Risk department to streamline and optimize their development and deployment pipelines, ensuring seamless code management and deployment from Git repositories to client Applications for improved efficiency and agility.
· Guide and advise the Risk department on adopting best practices for R development in the cloud, while leveraging the Risk R-framework to achieve state-of-the-art code quality and performance.
Requirements
Required Strong Skillset
· Experience as Quant Developer and Data Scientist.
· Development experience in Python, R, relational databases and cloud environment.
· Experience with CI/CD using Git and Github actions and Azure DevOps.
Additional skills that would be considered as plus
Experience with Linux and Docker
Experience with managing, processing, reconciling and testing large data sets
