Job description

Job description

Your job

In our line of work, we face mathematical and data-related challenges on a daily basis, that need to be solved with code that runs 24/7 in a highly demanding environment. As a Quant Developer you are developing software and models that are crucial components in our automated trading strategies. You spend a lot of time writing code and creating systems that can handle complex data and complex processes. The work entails a combination of technical and practical aspects to find the best solutions for our trading strategies. To do so, you ask the right questions, analyse the projects, do your research, backtest and implement solutions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with top-tier traders and senior professionals to develop state-of-the-art solutions that meet our needs.

Job requirements

Who are you
Whether you are about to graduate and eager to apply your academic excellence, or already an experienced professional ready to tackle complex challenges, we tailor our expectations to your experience level. If you recognize yourself in most of the skills and qualities below, we would love to hear from you.

  • You have a Master’s degree in Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science or equivalent, with exceptional grades*

  • Highly proficient in various programming languages

  • Comfortable in a Linux/Unix environment (commandline, SSH, etc.)

  • Experience with version control (git)

  • Accurate coder who works with strict coding practices to minimize the risk of errors

  • Teamplayer, easy and clear communication

  • Pro-active, flexible and stress-resistant

* Minimum requirements are: (i) attending a top 200 university and (ii) top tier grades such as CH: ≥5.5, UK: ≥70%, NL: ≥8.0, DE: ≤1.6, FR: A, IT: 110L or equivalent. We value a well-rounded approach to talent assessment. While we have baseline expectations for academic performance, we understand that grades alone do not fully capture a candidate's potential or abilities. Therefore, we also welcome applicants who demonstrate exceptional skills, experience, or achievements in other areas that complement or compensate for slightly lower academic grades.

What we offer

  • Excellent remuneration (including discretionary bonus)

  • Fun and inspiring work environment

  • Experienced and knowledgeable colleagues

  • 25 vacation days

  • Allowance for commuting expenses

  • Additional benefits: yearly office trip(s), fitness allowance, Friday afternoon drinks, weekly massages, excellent free lunch

A pre-employment screening is part of our application process.
