The Automotive practice inside DXC Luxoft delivers SW projects to a majority of the world's car manufacturers and suppliers for both personal and commercial vehicles. We are known for our Automotive SW expertise and for helping our customers with high quality services and deliveries.
Currently we are growing for our Swedish customers and are looking for Android Developers to join our team. You will be part of our growing organization in Sweden and will be part of developing next gen systems for the Automotive industry for the age of connected, autonomous, electric vehicles.

The scope of work is the adaptation of the Android applications related to Charging and Car status for the Infotainment system to a new car platform with another screen size and orientation.

Responsibilities

  • As an Android Infotainment Software Developer, you will be responsible for implementing a complete feature for the infotainment system, spanning from software development in application and native layers of Android stack which includes hardware abstraction layer in C++. You will use the latest tools and technologies available and collaborate with UX, partners and other stakeholders to define and deliver coherent end-to-end solutions. You have end-to-end responsibility including design, architecture, documentation, implementation, verification, and validation. The verification and validation of the software involve automation tests that run in CI environment, as well as manual testing in rigs and cars. As part of R&D organization you will have the opportunity to actively provide innovative solutions for our products.

Skills

Must have

  • Extensive experience with Android Application development.
  • At least 4 years of software development in Java/Kotlin.
  • M.Sc in Software Engineering or similar relevant experience.
  • Experience with AOSP and the AOSP build system.
  • Familiarity with modern app architectural patterns (MVP, MVVM, clean architecture).
  • Experience from working in a Linux environment.
  • Experience in developing automated unit or integration test in Java/Kotlin.
  • Experience in working with Git/Gerrit/Jenkins tools.
  • Good English skill (written and spoken).
  • Experience within Automotive, Infotainment and from working in an international environment.
  • Experience working with UX/UI team for app development.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge in tools as; Jira, Car Weaver and Teamcenter.
  • Software development in application and native layers of Android stack which includes hardware abstraction layer in C++.
  • Driver's license (B-level).
