About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our remote team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing and enhancing our platform, working closely with a team of dedicated professionals committed to delivering exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Ruby on Rails applications that power our quoting and pricing system, and our underwriting risk assessment platform, with integrated AI capabilities for enhanced decision-making.
Implement prompt engineering strategies and AI workflow orchestration using industry-standard AI evaluation tools like LangFuse and LangSmith to measure model performance and optimize outputs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect full-stack solutions that integrate AI models, intelligent automation, and traditional backend services within a Rails environment.
Contribute to our platform's core infrastructure, ensuring high performance, scalability, and responsiveness across AI and non-AI systems.
Lead code reviews, testing, and documentation practices that maintain code quality and establish best practices for AI integration in production systems.
Stay at the forefront of emerging AI technologies and evaluation frameworks to continuously enhance our platform's capabilities and underwriting accuracy.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or similar role with demonstrated expertise in Ruby on Rails development and modern full-stack application architecture.
Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Docker for building scalable systems.
Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS and Render.
Strong understanding of authentication, encryption, and security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think architecturally.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities in a remote work environment.
Experience designing and implementing prompt engineering strategies with understanding of how to measure and evaluate AI model outputs.
Hands-on experience orchestrating AI workflows and integrating AI capabilities into Rails applications.
Knowledge of building, configuring, and integrating third-party AI models and APIs into software systems.
