Job Description
Job Description:Are you an enthusiastic, enquiring RF engineer who has a desire to join an innovative and creative test development team? You will be working with our design group to evaluate PragmatIC’s RFID ICs. If you are familiar with all the standard RF instruments and have demonstrable hands-on experience in the lab debugging RF devices, you will play a key role in driving forward PragmatIC’s emerging technology.

Key tasks
  • Working in the lab you will design, develop and implement evaluation procedures for RF ICs feeding back results to the design team.
  • Write test scripts to control equipment and analyse results.
  • Identify root causes and advocate potential solutions.
  • Advise design groups of potential modifications that will enhance test
  • Ensure completeness of documentation, propose improvements and promote best practice
Qualifications and training
  • Degree or post-graduate in electronics, physics or another relevant discipline; or equivalent experience.
Skills and experience
  • Hands-on experience of using RF test equipment: oscilloscopes, function generators, VNAs, etc
  • Demonstrable use of semiconductor test equipment: Probe Stations, SMUs, LCRs, etc
  • Samples of experience in remotely controlling instruments through scripting in Python, LabView or similar.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods and data analysis.
  • Experience of digital testing, using pattern generators and logic analysers.
  • Previous experience of PCB design.
  • Understanding of thin film electronics.
  • A strong understanding of electronics and its core principles.
  • A strong ability to solve technical problems with many different variables.
  • A strong ability to work to tight deadlines and progress multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team.
