The Cloud Service center is a global organization dedicated to delivering solution extensions or new functionality based on SAP HANA Cloud Platform (HCP). The mission of the SAP Cloud Service Center is to be agile, innovative and flexible in providing high quality and supportable solutions. We deliver a full lifecycle of custom development services - from the strategic planning of a development project through delivery and maintenance of the solution. With locations in Chengdu, St. Leon-Rot, St. Ingbert, Galway, Sao Leopoldo, Palo Alto and Newtown Square we are able to leverage a global delivery model that utilizes the specific strengths of each location. For EMEA Hub we're looking for developers working with our customers in (mostly) remote engagement.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a developer for the Cloud Service Center within the SAP HANA Cloud Platform team, you have to:
- Work in an agile, collaborative, open source oriented working environment
- Be able to understand customer requirements and map it to technical implementation.
- Delivery Cloud solution extension: Development on SAP HANA Database and/or SAP HANA Cloud Platform
- Collaborate with internal or external stakeholders to clarify customer requirements
- Manage complete development lifecycle, incl. documentation, testing, handover etc.
WORK EXPERIENCE
At least 8 years of experience in development.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- MBA or Master Degree in Business, Commercial Information Technology, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred
- Knowledge in SAP Cloud Infrastructure is definitely a plus
- Experience in complex development projects Required skills:
- Business process and ERP application knowledge
- Fluent German and English, written and oral
- Having good communication and presentation skill
- Fluency in two of the following: Java, C#, JavaScript, HTML5, ABAP, SQL Preferred skills:
- Strong customer and quality focus
- Advanced skills in designing, creating and managing complex to high complex databases
- Team work
- Team management experience is definitely a plus
- Proactive work attitude and ability to drive project or task
- Logical thinking
- Capability to handle multiple tasks in parallel
- Experience with state of the art development tools (Git, GitHub, Gerrit, Jenkins)
