About the Role:

The Machine Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of manufacturing equipment during the second shift. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to produce high-quality products that meet company standards. The operator will monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to maintain a safe working environment and consistent product output. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the company’s production goals by supporting continuous manufacturing processes during the designated shift.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery or similar equipment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Ability to work the second shift hours consistently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in machine operation or manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with computerized or automated machinery.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and calibrate machines according to production specifications and work orders.
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently to produce parts or products within quality standards.
  • Monitor machine functions and product quality, making adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to prevent malfunctions and ensure longevity.
  • Identify and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
  • Maintain accurate production records and document any deviations or incidents during the shift.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Skills:

The required skills such as mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential for setting up and operating machines accurately and safely on a daily basis. Troubleshooting skills enable the operator to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining production flow.
