Job Summary

Role: Data & Privacy Consultant

Experience : 3 to 5years

Notice period: Immediate to 30 Days

Location: Qatar

Project Duration: Longterm

Budget: 12K to 14K QAR

Roles & Responsibilities  

 Develop and implement data privacy strategies, policies, and procedures in accordance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.

Demonstrate a deep understanding of Data Privacy Laws and Regulations, including concepts such as Data Classification, PII Data Discovery, and Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA).

Establish a privacy governance framework in compliance with the Qatar Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (PDPPL), including developing data collection templates, assisting with data mapping, and Consultant management reviews.

Conduct thorough assessments to identify sensitive fields within data systems and databases.

Collaborate with cross functional teams to establish and enforce data privacy controls across the organization.

Design and implement data privacy workflows and processes to ensure compliance with regulations such as Qatar (Law N 13 /2016)

Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness and promote a culture of data privacy within the organization.

Report status to senior leadership on the progress of the project implementation; liaise with various stakeholders, internal and external, to steer to issues and challenges in the implementation.

Required Professional Experience

Professional experience as per the grade requirements mentioned under Article 4.1.2 Estimated Skill Levels of Consultant Personnel.

Demonstrated experience in identifying and classifying sensitive fields and personally identifiable information (PII).

Proficiency in implementing and managing data privacy workflows and processes.

Solid understanding of data protection technologies, encryption methods, and data anonymization techniques.

Experience with GDPR: DPIA, Data Mapping including assessments in Records of Processing Activity and Vendor Risk Management

Experience in Cookie Compliance banner implementation, Consent Management, DSAR & PIA/DPIA

Good to have GDPR/CIPPE certification.

Skills/Tools Experience

Familiarity with Qatar Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (PDPPL), National Data Classification Policy V3.0, and other regional data privacy and protection laws and regulations.

Experience with data security software and tools (e.g., DLP, SIEM, encryption tools).

Experience with implementation of tools such as (Hi trust, one trust, data grail) etc.

Academic Qualifications & Certifications

Bachelor degree in engineering (BTech/B. E), MTech, MSc, MCA in IT related field.
