Job description

We are hiring a professional Unarmed Security Guard to support safety and order within an educational setting in North Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will help maintain a calm, secure, and respectful environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

- Active SLED Unarmed Security Officer Registration
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a background check
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Strong communication, observation, and professionalism
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in school security, educational settings, or youth-related environments
- Background in unarmed security, access control, or customer service
- CPR / First Aid certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish

Responsibilities

- Maintain a visible and professional security presence
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas
- Support visitor management and access control
- Document and report incidents when needed
- Follow school safety procedures and work closely with staff
- Serve as a calm and reassuring presence on campus

Important

- This is an unarmed position
- Candidates must already hold valid SLED unarmed registration
