As a Security Officer Armed Credential Validation in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to situations with professionalism. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry and exit in accordance with site-specific policies and applicable requirements.
  • Prepare accurate reports and communicate incidents, observations, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
