Blue Tea are recruiting for a lead Android developer who will mainly be involved in one project, an application for Operating Room Audio Visual Control. There will be opportunity to work on other projects also.
The role will include:
- Working with management and shareholders to strategise and build the roadmap for the product
- Developing integrations using well established protocols natively for Android in Java
- Working with development team members at Blue Tea and other global offices for micro-services that support the App
- Strategically grow the technical operations at Blue Tea through professional development that encourages managerial skills and career progression

The job is otherwise able to be completed remotely, if desired.
Requirements
The candidate will be very comfortable with development in Android targeting API 19 through 33+ and will be skilled in implementing as well as contributing to excellent UI/UX designs.
The candidate will be familiar with source control (git), databases, continuous integration (CI) and quality Assurance (QA)
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of at least 4 years in hardware integration and development on the Android platform. They will be able to solve problems on their own and be able to analyse developments to highlight areas of concern or where extra resources may be required.
The candidate will need some or all of the below integration experience:
- TCP/UDP raw control
- SSH CLI
- RESTful API
- Bluetooth control
- NFC
- BACNet
- RS232
