For a long-term project with a German Client, we're looking for a creative Backend Developer with 4+ years experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Ruby On Rails.
We are looking for an analytical, results-driven Back-end Developer who will work with team members to troubleshoot and improve current back-end applications and processes. The Back-end Developer will use his or her understanding of programming languages and tools to analyze current codes and industry developments, formulate more efficient processes, solve problems, and create a more seamless experience for users. You should have excellent communication, computer, and project management skills.
To succeed as a Backend Developer, you should be focused on building a better, more efficient program and creating a better end-user experience. You should be knowledgeable, collaborative, and motivated.

Manage the entire life cycle of a project from the first design on a piece of paper to going live

Technical Skills

4+ years of relevant experience in backend development, mainly using Ruby on Rails
Experience with JavaScript
Experience with Scrum
In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment)
Knowledge with SSO, Encryption of data, dataflow and workflow
Knowledge using Jira, Confluence, Git

Qualifications & Personal Skills

Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Team player
Good organizational and time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Good English skills, German-speaking is a plus, but not mandatory
Minimum B.Sc./B.Eng. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or any similar relevant field
