The Senior Compliance Coordinator (Reporting, Intelligence, Projects, Planning & Science) leads a specialist compliance team responsible for turning complex operational, intelligence and reporting data into actionable strategies that support the National Fire Ant Eradication Program.The role drives compliance planning, intelligence-led risk management, project delivery and operational reporting, ensuring activities align with the Compliance Plan and Human-Assisted Spread Mitigation Strategy 2022-2027. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across government, industry and the community, the position providesevidence-based recommendations, oversees compliance operations, develops procedures and fosters a high-performing team culture that contributes to the successful eradication of Red Imported Fire Ant.Success in this role comes from the ability to combine strong people leadership with analytical and strategic capability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience leading teams, manage projects and translating complex data into meaningful compliance insights that influence operational and regulatory decisions. Highly relevant candidates will have a background in compliance, intelligence, biosecurity, regulatory operations or risk-based enforcement environments, along with proven skills in data analysis, stakeholder engagement, process improvement and report writing. Experience working within legislative frameworks, particularly compliance or biosecurity-related legislation and the ability to lead change while delivering measurable program outcomes will be key differentiators.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop specialist teams responsible for compliance reporting, intelligence, planning and project delivery to achieve strategic and operational objectives.Analyse complex operational and compliance data to produce high-quality reports, intelligence products and evidence-based recommendations for decision-makers.Plan, prioritise and coordinate compliance activities, projects and targeted operations in line with program strategies and regulatory requirements.Develop and improve procedures, processes and compliance frameworks to enhance operational effectiveness and legislative compliance.Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across government, industry and community groups to support compliance outcomes and fire ant eradication objectives.
