This role performs end to end application inventory, analysis, packaging, and validation using MSIX, Win32, Intune wrapping, and mobile app formats. The specialist ensures applications are compliant with security policies, compatible with modern management tooling, and ready for deployment at scale through Intune and Mobile Application Management (MAM) configurations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting packaging issues, coordinating with application owners, maintaining a full application catalog, and supporting migration waves for a secure, stable, and predictable app deployment experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Minimum 6 years experience in relevant field.

Application Packaging (Windows):
  •  Proficiency with MSIX packaging, MSIX modification packages, signing, and conversion.
  •  Expert in Win32/IntuneWin packaging, detection/enforcement rules, dependency modeling, and remediation scripts.

Mobile App Packaging (iOS/Android):
  •  Experience with iOS app deployment (IPA, VPP/ABM integration) and Android app deployment (APK/AAB, Managed Google Play).
  • Understanding of application behaviors under MAM policies, informed by established AFS user experience patterns (e.g., MAM job aids showing app protection flows).

Intune Application Management:
  • Skilled in Intune app wrapping, ingestion of LOB apps, app assignment strategies, version control, rollout rings, and deployment monitoring.
  • Ability to configure MAM policies, app protection policies, conditional launch requirements, data protection settings, and user exception handling.
  • Application Inventory & Assessment:
  • Experience gathering full app inventories, analyzing dependencies, identifying repackaging needs, and building a migration readiness matrix.
  • Testing & Validation:
  • Ability to execute functional, compatibility, and performance testing across
 Windows, iOS, and Android.
  •  Ability to validate apps under MDM and MAM enrollment scenarios (e.g., required MFA prompts, Intune Company Portal behaviors).
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
  • Hands on troubleshooting of install failures, certificate/signing issues, dependency gaps, and Intune deployment failures.
  • Ability to review logs (Intune Management Extension, Event Viewer, mobile logs) and produce root cause analysis.

Collaboration & Documentation:
  •  Able to work closely with security, platform engineering, and app owners.
  • Produce packaging guides, change records, deployment plans, and rollback procedures.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting large scale MDM/MAM programs.
  • Knowledge of Defender for Endpoint app based mitigations, ASR rules, and app hardening patterns.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for application packaging, signing automation, and Intune configuration as code.
  •  Experience with certificate based signing, timestamping authorities, and enterprise PKI.
  • Experience with analytics/reporting (Log Analytics/KQL) for app performance and failure tracking.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust concepts as they relate to application behavior, data leakage controls, and policy enforcement.
  • Preferred: Prior experience with Blackberry UEM app lifecycle and federation patterns to support migration mapping.

Compensation: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
