Who You Are
You are a senior Salesforce developer who owns the technical delivery of client onboarding projects and the custom requirements clients ask us to build on top of the Cloudsquare platform. You take on the most complex work on the board, design solutions that hold up as clients scale, and build them to a standard others can maintain. You are the person the team turns to when a build is stuck, a deployment breaks, or a client requirement has no obvious answer, and you stay calm and methodical while you work the problem. Just as importantly, you raise the level of everyone around you through code review, mentorship, and the standards you hold yourself to. You will report to the Technical Team Lead.
Your Mission
Your mission is to own the technical success of Cloudsquare’s client onboarding projects and custom client builds, translating complex requirements into secure, scalable, well-tested solutions delivered on time, while raising the technical standard of the Delivery team through code review, mentorship, and the resolution of the escalations no one else can unblock.
Your Goals
- Own the technical delivery of assigned onboarding projects and client customizations end to end, from requirement clarification through deployment and post-go-live stabilization.
- Deliver high-quality declarative and coded solutions that meet Cloudsquare delivery standards and Salesforce best practices, with minimal rework and no critical post- deployment defects.
- Approach every task with a full-system perspective. Understand how your build affects the client’s entire org and the platform it sits on, not just the ticket assigned to you, and ensure your work does not create downstream conflicts.
- Raise the technical quality of the team by conducting thorough, timely, and constructive code reviews on your peers’ work.
- Act as the escalation point for difficult technical situations, whether a blocked build, a failed deployment, a performance issue, or a requirement with no clean solution, and drive them to resolution.
- Mentor mid-level and junior developers through pairing, design guidance, and feedback, measurably improving their independence and output quality.
- Provide accurate technical estimates and flag scope, feasibility, and risk early so Delivery leadership can make informed commitments to clients.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Project Managers to clarify requirements and validate feasibility before development begins, preventing rework.
- Ensure every build is optimized for performance, security, and long-term maintainability in the client’s org.
- Proactively identify reusable components, patterns, and accelerators that can be standardized across client projects and added to the Delivery Knowledge Hub.
- Support Quality Assurance by resolving defects quickly and permanently.
- Contribute to and help enforce Cloudsquare’s development, naming, security, and deployment standards across the Delivery team.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases, platform enhancements, and new tools that can improve delivery speed and quality, and bring them to the team.
- Demonstrate Cloudsquare’s values by contributing to a positive, collaborative delivery culture and by being someone the team is glad to have on a hard project.
Your Responsibilities
- Own the technical delivery of client onboarding projects and custom requirements built on top of the Cloudsquare platform, from requirement clarification through deployment and hypercare.
- Design and build scalable Salesforce solutions using both declarative tools (Flows, Validation Rules, Page Layouts, Permissions) and programmatic logic (Apex, Triggers, Lightning Web Components, APIs).
- Lead the technical design of complex client requirements, evaluating options and trade-offs and selecting the approach that best balances client need, timeline, and long-term maintainability.
- Conduct code reviews for other developers, holding the line on quality, performance, security, and standards while giving clear, actionable, and respectful feedback.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex or high-pressure technical situations, including blocked builds, failed deployments, performance degradation, data issues, and defects discovered late in a project, and drive them to resolution.
- Mentor and develop mid-level and junior developers through pairing, design walkthroughs, code review feedback, and knowledge sharing sessions.
- Unblock other developers on the team by diagnosing problems quickly and guiding them to the solution rather than simply taking the work over.
- Provide technical estimates and effort breakdowns for onboarding and customization scopes, and raise feasibility concerns, risks, and dependencies early.
- Evaluate the overall solution impact before implementing changes, ensuring alignment with the client’s existing configuration and the Cloudsquare platform, and avoiding downstream conflicts.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Project Managers to clarify requirements, validate feasibility, and ensure the design meets both technical and business needs.
- Lead and participate in technical and architecture design reviews, following and reinforcing Cloudsquare’s development, naming, and security standards.
- Write efficient, bulk-safe, and maintainable code that complies with Salesforce governor limits and Cloudsquare delivery guidelines.
- Conduct unit testing and self-validation to confirm quality before submission to QA, and hold the team to the same bar.
- Document all developed components clearly, including purpose, dependencies, and test notes, ensuring traceability from requirement to deployment.
- Support Quality Assurance by resolving defects quickly, and ensuring fixes do not introduce new issues.
- Identify and contribute reusable components, scripts, and utilities to the Delivery Knowledge Hub to improve efficiency across client projects.
- Own deployments and release readiness for assigned projects, including metadata migration using Salesforce DX, Change Sets, or Git-based version control, and rollback planning where appropriate.
- Optimize all developed solutions for performance, security, and maintainability across client orgs.
- Join client calls when escalated to, explaining technical decisions, constraints, and trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders and restoring client confidence.
- Partner with Delivery leadership to improve development processes, tooling, and standards, and help onboard new developers into the team.
- Share feedback with the broader business on recurring client requests and configuration gaps observed across projects.
- Stay current on new Salesforce releases, tools, and platform updates, proactively identifying opportunities to apply them in client work.
- Maintain strong communication with cross-functional teams, raising risks early and suggesting improvements.
- Promote Cloudsquare’s core values by maintaining a collaborative, solution-oriented, and positive attitude in all interactions, particularly under pressure.
