Currently, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team to support the further development and maintenance of our development environments and development-related IT infrastructure. In this role, you will establish the foundation for efficient software development and seamless collaboration across team boundaries.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Linux-based systems and environments.
- Operate and support cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, from containerized workloads to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Deploy, configure, and maintain web servers and related services within cloud environments.
- Apply a strong understanding of networking fundamentals, particularly application-layer protocols such as HTTP, SSH, SSL/TLS, TFTP, and related technologies.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD workflows using Jenkins and GitLab.
- Build and optimize Jenkins and GitLab pipelines to support reliable, efficient software delivery.
- Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
- Automate configuration and system management using Ansible.
- Develop scripts and automation solutions using Python and Bash.
- Support the end-to-end software development lifecycle by providing and maintaining effective DevOps processes, tools, and practices.
- Manage source code and version control using Git, including GitLab and GitHub.
- Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions using Grafana and Prometheus.
- Collaborate closely with development and other technical teams to improve system reliability, automation, deployment processes, and overall engineering efficiency.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Azure, including containerized environments and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Good understanding of networking concepts and application-layer protocols, including HTTP, SSH, SSL/TLS, TFTP, and related technologies.
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation and operational tasks.
- Strong knowledge of Git and experience working with GitLab and/or GitHub.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working.
- Strong communication skills and experience working in agile teams.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, German is an advantage.
