We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to guide a team of skilled engineers in designing and implementing cloud migration strategies. In this role, you will serve as a key technical authority, collaborating closely with architects and engineers to deliver robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of System Engineers and DevOps professionals
  • Oversee and advise on the migration path for given applications
  • Act as the main point of contact for other architects and engineers
  • Develop and maintain automation through Shell scripting
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Manage and operate workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
  • Design and provision infrastructure using Terraform
  • Implement and maintain Anthos Service Mesh / Istio
  • Configure networking components, including firewall rules
  • Create and maintain Helm charts for application deployments

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or System Engineering role, preferably within the financial services industry
  • Background in rearchitecting applications for cloud and containerization
  • Expertise in Continuous Integration practices and GitHub Actions
  • Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
  • Skills in infrastructure provisioning and management with Terraform
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good business acumen
  • English proficiency at B2+ level

Nice to have

  • Background in software development and/or architecture
  • Knowledge of the German language
