Expanding our team in Sofia, Bulgaria, we are looking for a Senior Financial Controller (Accounting Oversight).
Responsibilities:
- Review and validate financial data provided by local accounting teams across multiple countries.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of trial balances, Profit & Loss statements, and Balance Sheets.
- Oversee and coordinate the month-end closing process.
- Review and challenge accounting entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Ensure proper cost allocation and consistent accounting treatment across entities.
- Monitor and improve the quality of monthly financial statements and reporting.
- Define and track key financial KPIs.
- Standardize accounting processes and reporting formats across countries.
- Act as a key point of contact for audits.
- Collaborate closely with project controlling and finance teams.
Requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial controlling;
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and closing processes;
- Experience in multi-entity / international environments;
- Audit experience is an advantage;
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies;
- Advanced MS Excel skills; ERP experience (SAP preferred);
- Fluent English.
