Senior Front End Software Developer
Our client is a software company that is rehabilitating and
reinventing how financial services companies detect and report risks. They work
with financial service providers such as broker-dealers, hedge funds,
investment advisors to deliver on this vision.
We are seeking a front end developer. This individual will
be responsible for development of new application features.
The successful candidate:
Our clients technology is across the full stack, so we like
engineers who can work across all its layers, although your main focus will be
development of the front end. You’ll work on the latest cloud technologies to
build smarter financial regulatory risk and compliance software. The projects
on offer are distributed, agile, and test-driven.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate
with the back-end team, QA and Operations to specify, design and build new
features across our client apps. - Work
in an agile environment. - Create
clean, functional, and extensible cross browser code. - Partner
closely with design team to produce an application that flows seamlessly
and works intuitively with end users. - Research
and adapt new technologies quickly in a dynamic work environment. - Work
with the Product team to define new features and create technical
requirements
Required Skills:
- A
strong degree from a quality university in Computer Science, Maths,
Physics or other numerate subject - An
interest in and willingness to learn about the finance industry - A
passion for coding, you will have coded for fun in your own time - 2
plus years of strong knowledge on application development using Angular
JS, HTML5, CSS3 - Understanding
of the full Angular JS development and runtime cycles - Experience
with websockets and real-time messaging - Strong
OOPS concepts and desire to learn new frameworks - Ability
to architect, build, iterate and manage applications - Aptitude
to write and maintain an automated test environment. Used tools like
QUnit, Jasmine and Phantom.JS and and integration testing tools like
Selenium, Spock or Cucumber.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge
of Node.js, Backbone.js and / or Java - A
financial background
