For our client in Amsterdam, a large financial services organization, we are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer (JavaScript, AI, NodeJS, WebComponents, CI/CD)
The opportunity
Our client is seeking a passionate Senior Frontend Engineer to help define and scale their AI-driven frontend strategy.
Within the organization, the Retail Bank & Technology domain is focused on equipping engineers with all the tools they need to build business applications with a differentiating customer experience. The product area behind this role contributes to a broader platform and owns three major products: a unified design system, a front-end foundation library, and a content management as a service solution.
The Team
You'll join a tight-knit squad of six engineers within the organization's Frontend Foundation Web domain. The team is tackling one of its most exciting challenges: leveraging AI to build a sustainable FE development flow. In addition, the team designs, maintains, and supports several core web libraries and components, including a custom router and a mock server kit, used across the organization's frontend ecosystem.
The team also owns and operates the global frontend pipelines, built as deployment-as-code solutions. These pipelines are central to enabling seamless, scalable deployments in a Micro-Frontend architecture.

How to Succeed
- 10+ years' experience in development/software engineering and working within agile organisations.
- Strong skills in JavaScript with a focus on the core and how JavaScript works.
- Enthusiastic about AI and wants to help build AI-powered products and solutions.
- Experience with the NodeJS ecosystem and enjoy keeping up to date with the latest JavaScript releases and features.
- Familiarity with the WebComponents meta-specification.
- Experience with frontend build tooling, e.g., Webpack and Rollup.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling, preferably Azure DevOps.
- Experience with deployments to CDN, feeds, release procedures, risk evaluation, and security.
- Desirable Design Patterns: Single Page Applications, Server-Side Rendering / Static Site Generation (NextJS).
- Well versed with TDD, BDD, and testing tools such as Mocha, Chai, Selenium, Karma, etc.
- Strong technical communication skills and keen to engage with customers.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
