Project description

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with expertise in Java, React, Azure SQL, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), RESTful API development, microservices architecture, Docker, NGINX, scripting, CI/CD, and Azure Cloud. Preference will be given with a background in investment banking and regulatory reporting. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable applications supporting critical financial and compliance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices using Java.
  • Build and manage RESTful APIs for seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.
  • Develop and maintain complex user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs, ensuring secure and efficient data flow.
  • Architect and implement microservices-based solutions, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Manage and optimize Azure SQL databases, including schema design and performance tuning.
  • Deploy, orchestrate, and monitor applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Containerize applications using Docker and manage container lifecycles.
  • Configure and maintain NGINX as a reverse proxy and load balancer.
  • Write and maintain scripts to automate workflows and enhance application functionality.
  • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for both front-end and back-end deployments using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Leverage Azure Cloud services for hosting, deployment, and scaling of applications.
  • Ensure applications meet performance, accessibility, security, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and compliance teams.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full technology stack, especially those related to financial data and regulatory requirements.

Skills

Must have

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience is required, with at least 7.5 years as a Senior Full Stack Developer (Java, React, Azure).
  • Proven experience developing backend applications with Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks).
  • Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript (ES6+) or TypeScript for front-end development.
  • Experience integrating and building RESTful APIs in enterprise environments.
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure SQL, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Cloud services.
  • Experience with Docker for containerization and deployment.
  • Experience configuring and managing NGINX in production environments.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Git).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in investment banking technology or regulatory reporting projects.
  • Familiarity with financial products, trade lifecycle, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).
  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
  • Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-native applications.
  • Exposure to container orchestration, monitoring, and logging tools.
  • Prior experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
