Senior Full Stack Engineer (AI-Driven Engineering)
About the Role
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, building, and delivering scalable software solutions that solve complex business challenges. You will be a valued member of a cross-functional engineering team and work collaboratively with product managers, architects, security teams, platform engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions from concept to production.

In This Role, You Will:
- Design and implement scalable, cloud-native applications, translating complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Own end-to-end delivery of features across backend services, data platforms, APIs, and user interfaces while making pragmatic technology decisions.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools throughout the software development lifecycle to improve engineering productivity while maintaining accountability for quality, security, and performance.
- Build reliable and secure solutions by embedding DevSecOps best practices, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and monitoring capabilities.
- Partner closely with product, business, security, and platform teams to communicate technical decisions, manage risks, and drive successful business outcomes.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade software solutions.
- Strong experience building full-stack applications using modern technologies such as Python, Vue.js, APIs, and cloud-native architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and modern software delivery practices.
- Experience using AI-powered engineering tools and workflows throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of secure software development, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and operational excellence.
- Proven ability to collaborate directly with business stakeholders, influence technical decisions, and work effectively in fast-paced environments.
These Will Help You Stand Out
- Experience designing solutions in ambiguous environments and rapidly validating concepts through prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
- Expertise in cloud architecture, microservices, and distributed systems design.
- Experience implementing observability frameworks, monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices.
- Strong understanding of AI agent workflows, automated quality gates, and software engineering productivity patterns.
- Demonstrated success leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.

Compensation
The annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,500, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
