Senior Fullstack Engineer - Python/Django+ReactJS (Backend Heavy)

Role Overview
Lead complex full-stack system design and delivery. Own technical decisions, raise the engineering bar, and drive AI-powered feature development across React and Python. A hands-on senior engineer who shapes architecture and mentors the team.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Technical Leadership
• Architect and build complex, scalable full-stack features end-to-end
• Make and document key technical decisions (frameworks, patterns, APIs, data models)
• Design robust backend services in Python and data models for performance and scale
• Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability bottlenecks
AI Systems
• Lead AI/LLM-driven feature integration into production (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini APIs)
• Architect agentic workflows, RAG systems, and conversational AI features
• Define LLM integration patterns and best practices for the team
Quality, SDLC & Mentorship
• Drive code quality through reviews, standards, and testing strategy
• Shape SDLC practices and engineering standards across the team
• Mentor mid-level engineers on technical challenges and architecture
• Leverage AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code) for velocity
• Partner closely with product and design on roadmap and scope
Requirements
• 5–8 years full-stack engineering
• Expert TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frontend framework (React preferred)
• Strong backend expertise: Python (FastAPI/Django) and system design
• LLM/agentic systems integration in production (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini)
• Proven experience architecting scalable web applications
• Deep databases, caching, and API design at scale
• Track record mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives
• Strong ownership mindset and AI-first working style
Nice-to-Have
• Event-driven and real-time architectures (WebSockets, SSE, Kafka)
• Cloud and DevOps fluency for end-to-end ownership (AWS/GCP, Docker, K8s)
• SDLC leadership: standards, testing strategy, developer experience
• Healthcare technology or health-tech startup experience
