We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong full stack development experience and deep familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native engineering practices. This role will design, build, test, deploy, and support modern digital and service-based solutions that improve claims experiences for customers, adjusters, and internal partners.

You’ll contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from user-facing applications to backend services, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and production support. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys solving complex business and technical challenges, and wants to help modernize claims technology through full stack development and cloud-native engineering.

Candidate Profile

You are a strong, hands-on engineer who combines technical depth with curiosity, ownership, and a bias for action. You enjoy building robust, scalable applications and services, and you are comfortable working across frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, and integrations.

You bring:

  • Strong full stack engineering skills across modern frontend frameworks and backend services
  • Experience designing and building cloud-native applications in AWS
  • A problem-solving mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • A focus on reliability, security, performance, and maintainability
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in Agile, cross-functional teams
  • A passion for continuous improvement, mentoring others, and delivering business value

  • Create and maintain secure APIs and integrations aligned with enterprise standards
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization patterns leveraging enterprise identity solutions
  • Design, optimize, and troubleshoot data models and application data flows across relational and cloud-native data stores
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues; improve system reliability, resilience, and performance
  • Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related automation, testing, and quality tooling
  • Improve observability using tools such as Datadog and Splunk, including dashboards, alerting, metrics, logs, and tracing
  • Participate in discovery, estimation, technical design, story writing, and documentation
  • Contribute to engineering best practices across code quality, testing, automation, and operational readiness
  • Mentor engineers and help elevate team standards and execution

What we’re looking for

  • Owns medium-to-large features end-to-end, including design, implementation, testing strategy, and production readiness.
  • Leads troubleshooting and performance tuning (application and database).
  • Drives API/integration work (Apigee patterns, identity/security considerations).
  • Improves engineering practices (CI/CD, test automation, code quality) and mentors others.
  • Ensures established standards for observability, deployment, resiliency, and developer productivity across teams.
  • Partners with product, architecture, and security stakeholders; makes and communicates trade-offs clearly.
  • Mentors team members and ensures High-Performing Engineering standards are chosen and monitored with the team
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean code, testing, debugging, and design.
  • Experience integrating systems via APIs and working with enterprise standards (security, logging, monitoring).
  • Ability to work in Agile teams using modern delivery practices (iteration, experimentation, continuous improvement).
  • Effective communication and collaboration; able to document and explain technical decisions.
  • Experience and openness to utilizing AI Software Development Tools (GitHub Actions Copilot etc.)
