Technologists at WorldQuant research, design, code, test and deploy firmwide platforms and tooling while working collaboratively with researchers and portfolio managers. The Role: Our team is looking for an experienced full stack developer to work on important internal services that are critical to the firm. As a full stack developer, you will have the opportunity to advance the architecture and develop new user interfaces.
- Develop and maintain internal web applications on premise
- Create/Present API design specifications
- Write well designed and tested code
- Create and maintain software documentation
What You’ll Bring:
- Expertise in Python web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask)
- Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, including popular JavaScript libraries and tools such as React.js, Material-UI, Vite
- Working experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, sqlite)
- A solid background in Unix/Linux environment
- Experience with CI/CD
- Experience with Docker and containerized application
- Excellent debugging and problem solving
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Kubernetes or distributed systems is a plus
