About Dose

Dose is a functional wellness company offering innovative, clinically-backed supplements to consumers. A science-first approach, unique product design, and mission-orientation are just a few of the differentiating factors propelling Dose to be one of the fastest-growing companies in the health & wellness sector. Dose’s founder, Vasu Goyal, developed Dose products while observing the gap between marketed promises and functional results from existing wellness products. Dose is committed to challenging the wellness industry with products that actually work – and also taste great.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to help re-architect and scale our high-volume e-commerce platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on modernizing our Shopify Plus ecosystem, establishing a scalable development stack, and building the infrastructure to support Dose’s next phase of growth.

You’ll work across the stack—from our Shopify storefront and custom apps to backend integrations—owning key initiatives that improve performance, reliability, and customer experience. You’ll pair deep technical expertise with a builder’s mindset, implementing modern engineering practices and partnering cross-functionally across Product, Data, Marketing, and Design.

You’ll be accountable for:

  • Designing and maintaining the next-generation Dose tech stack (Shopify, APIs, and supporting infrastructure).

  • Establishing engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, and performance benchmarks.

  • Delivering new storefront, checkout, and app experiences that improve customer conversion and retention.

  • Building scalable integrations with marketing, finance, and fulfillment systems.

  • Ensuring code quality, security, and compliance across all releases.

What You’ll Do

Storefront & Theme Architecture

  • Develop and maintain our Shopify Plus storefront using Theme 2.0 (JSON templates, metafields), Liquid, React, and Tailwind CSS.

  • Optimize front-end performance, accessibility, and core web vitals across all user-facing properties.

  • Ensure the accuracy and health of the data layer and analytics event tracking.

Custom Application & Extension Development

  • Design, build, and deploy custom Shopify applications and extensions (Checkout UI, Functions, Customer Account).

  • Integrate headless services and extend Shopify functionality using Admin, Storefront, and GraphQL/REST APIs.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to build tools that empower internal teams (e.g., merchandising, growth, CX).

Platform Engineering & DevOps

  • Implement scalable integrations between Shopify and third-party systems (ERP, PIM, marketing automation, finance).

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and automated test suites (Cypress or Playwright).

  • Architect serverless solutions using AWS (Lambda, API Gateway), Cloudflare Workers, or Google Cloud Functions.

  • Drive performance monitoring and observability best practices.

Collaboration & Culture

  • Partner closely with Product, Design, and Growth to bring new features and campaigns to market.

  • Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and roadmap sessions with a focus on quality and velocity.

  • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and documentation.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of professional web development experience, with 3+ years focused on the Shopify Plus platform.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Liquid, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern component-based frameworks (React, Next.js).

  • Proven track record developing custom themes, apps, and APIs using Shopify’s Theme 2.0 architecture.

  • Hands-on experience architecting and deploying serverless solutions.

  • Deep familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows, build tools (Vite, Webpack), and CI/CD automation.

  • Strong debugging skills and attention to scalability, security, and performance optimization.

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments using tools like Jira or Asana.

Preferred

  • Experience with a headless Shopify stack (Hydrogen, Next.js).

  • Exposure to backend languages like Python, PHP, or Rust.

  • Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, New Relic) and analytics pipelines.

  • Experience integrating with e-commerce platforms such as Klaviyo, ReCharge, or Gorgias.

In-Office Expectations

We work flexibly — but connection matters. This is a hybrid role: mostly remote, with monthly travel to Miami for team sessions, offsites, or company events. Occasional travel may also come up for conferences or panels.

Location

We’re open to candidates across the U.S., though we have a soft spot for those in or near Miami (or who can travel here easily).

Compensation

We believe in pay transparency and fairness — your compensation should reflect your impact, experience, and growth potential.

Total compensation includes:

  • Base Salary: $175,000 – $200,000 (depending on experience, location, and skills)

  • Performance Bonus: Based on company and individual goals

Final pay will depend on your background, expertise, and where you live.

Equal Opportunity

Dose is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity in all its forms and make all employment decisions based on merit, qualifications, and business needs. We also consider qualified applicants with criminal histories, in line with applicable laws. If you need an accommodation during the hiring process, please let us know.
