About the role:

Functional System (software) Validation Laboratory Engineer/Specialist will be primarily supporting the Digital & Electronic Technology development team with tasks to deliver functional system and connected (software) validation testing as it relates to cooking appliances. The Functional System Validation Laboratory Engineer/Specialist will assist the Laboratory/Department Manager in providing technical leadership and expertise across each appliance product line.

What you’ll do:

  • Supports/conducts functional system validation testing following internally generated test procedures, product level specifications, and records the discrepancies in issue tracking software.
  • Generates functional system test logs from standard laboratory templates.
  • Works closely with and provides technical expertise to functional systems/software engineers to prepare test and validation plans/manuals.
  • Responsible for functional system validation team support of flashing electronics controls as needed throughout the R&D community.
  • Provides technical expertise to the engineering team to analyze test results and suggest improvements to systems, specifications, and consumer use cases.
  • Provides support and training on new test methodologies and new products to internal laboratory staff, other departments, and customers.
  • Coaches and mentors junior engineers and technicians, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
  • Demonstrates leadership potential by driving continuous improvement initiatives within the validation laboratory
  • Identifies opportunities to improve laboratory efficiency, automation, digitalization, and testing methodologies.
  • Supports manager in resource planning, equipment investment recommendations, and laboratory capability roadmap development.
  • Acts as technical lead for complex validation projects and drives issue resolution across multiple stakeholders

Who you are:

  • Advanced technical knowledge of electronic Lab in home appliances.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations under workload peaks.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Lab Digitalization is preferred.
  • Exhibit appropriate professional behavior including positive attitude, sense of urgency, independent judgment, teamwork, creative thinking, and personal integrity to achieve department/corporate goals and objectives.
  • Team spirit and communication skills, share information with group
  • Sense of urgency, timely delivery of test reports is fundamental to overall project timing
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in English, verbally and in writing.
  • Bachelor’s in Electronics engineering is preferred
  • Five (5) years of hands-on experience with Electronics in a Lab environment preferred.
  • Previous experience serving as a technical lead, project lead, or laboratory coordinator is preferred
  • Experience managing external laboratories, suppliers, or certification activities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operation excellence, Lean principles, or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of building technical competencies and training team members is preferred.
