About the project
The Process Platform & Automation (PPA) cluster brings together Commerzbank鈥檚 core process automation capabilities to drive process efficiency as a key strategic pillar.
Together with Yellow Automation, we deliver automated solutions as well as shared platforms, tools, and approaches that enable efficient delivery for our own area and other units. We work closely with business teams and the Digital Office, acting as one committed team to achieve successful outcomes.
What will you be doing? 馃憞
As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and integrating modern applications within our IT landscape.
You will work on complex systems and data flows, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs and architectural standards. You will also contribute to knowledge sharing within the team and support junior engineers in their development.
Your key tasks will include:
- Design, develop and maintain scalable and secure applications using Java (17+), Spring, and Spring Boot
- Implement and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange
- Develop cloud-native solutions using technologies such as OpenShift, Docker, and Azure
- Ensure alignment with architecture principles (microservices, modular design, serverless)
- Support incident resolution and problem management
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers
- Prepare and maintain build and release packages for deployment
- Leverage AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity and code quality
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement
- Help in building modern frontends using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
- Explore and evaluate AI tools and technologies to optimize development processes
