Senior Java Developer
Seeking a Senior Java Developer with 5+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices development. Strong expertise in building REST APIs, event-driven applications, Kafka integrations, and working with relational/NoSQL databases. Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is required. The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of software design principles, DevOps practices, scalability, and production support. Experience in Financial Services or Capital Markets is preferred.
Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Strong experience building REST APIs, event-driven solutions, and system integrations.
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka.
- Experience with cloud-native development.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Solid understanding of software design principles.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices.
- Experience with application performance optimization, scalability, and production support.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Experience in Financial Services or Capital Markets is an asset, along with strong problem-solving, collaboration, and Agile delivery skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Financial Services or Capital Markets.
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise and cloud transformation projects.
- Experience with high-volume, mission-critical distributed systems.
The pay range for this role is $110,000 to $115,000 CAD per annum (max) including any bonuses or variable pay.
