Software Engineer – Server Development

Join the team that powers the core backend at Home streaming platform. The BASE team builds the services behind personalization, AVOD streaming, search, content discovery, reporting, and internal tools—all serving millions of users across devices.

In this role, you’ll work at the heart of our backend systems, leading high-impact engineering initiatives and shaping the architectural direction of mission-critical services.


What You’ll Do:

  • Work on backend projects end-to-end across the full SDLC
  • Design and evolve distributed, high-availability systems
  • Drive architecture discussions and design reviews
  • Identify and resolve performance and scalability challenges
  • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and client teams to ensure reliability and observability

What We’re Looking For:

  • 6+ years of backend engineering experience
  • Strong expertise with Java (Spring Boot/WebFlux/MVC) and C++ services
  • Experience with REST/RPC APIs, WebSockets, custom TCP protocols
  • Familiarity with Docker, Puppet, Hiera, and observability tools (e.g., DataDog)
  • Experience building high-throughput, scalable, cloud-native systems
  • Ability to lead through complexity and mentor other engineers

Bonus: Experience with streaming media workflows.
