Job Description:

The Health Informatics & Technology Solutions Division is currently seeking a Senior Java\/Spring Enterprise Software Developer with 12+ years of SW development experience to support our NIH client onsite in Bethesda, MD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, document, and test the core components of a large Java\/Spring enterprise system: web applications, web services, and reusable libraries.
  • Design and implement any necessary database objects and PL\/SQL packages.
  • Work with requirements analysts, architects, and integration testers to ensure the quality and integrity of the developed code.
  • Work with application developers in a team environment and also coordinate with other teams as needed.
  • Provide production support as needed.

    Technical Requirements:

    • BS in Computer Science and 12+ years of related technical experience
    • Experience with Object oriented design and development, data structures and design patterns
    • Experienced with Agile framework and ability to apply best practices using industry standards throughout all software development.
    • Experience developing enterprise applications using J2EE\/JEE technologies such as Java 8+, Spring MVC\/Struts, JDBC, Hibernate, Eclipse, Web Services (XML, SOAP\/RESTful, Apache CXF)
    • Experience with front-end technologies such as Bootstrap, JQuery, Ajax, Tiles, HTML5, CSS3
    • Experience with RDBMS and database design and troubleshooting (Oracle, PL\/SQL)
    • Experience with Automated unit tests (i.e. jUnit, jsTestDriver, mocks) and test driven development
    • Knowledge of web application security vulnerabilities  and how to address them
    • Experience with build servers such as Cruise Control, working knowledge of ANT Scripting. Familiarity with continuous integration principles.
    • Experience with Source Control and CM Tools (Git, Stash, JIRA)
    • Ability to produce and understand basic UML diagrams

      • Able to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-pace environment.
      • Good verbal and written communication skills.
      • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

        Desired Skills\/Experience

        • Experience in grants\/ contracts management
        • Experience with implementing Section 508 requirements
