We are looking for a Senior/Lead Software Engineer to join a new project for a leading global financial market infrastructure provider and contribute to the development of business-critical platforms used across international markets.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong backend development expertise in Java and Python/Django, capable of working throughout the entire software development lifecycle. The engineer will participate in requirements analysis, solution design, effort estimation, implementation, testing, code reviews, and production releases.
The role requires a proactive and product-oriented mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with product owners, architects, developers, cybersecurity specialists, and customer stakeholders to translate business requirements into high-quality technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements analysis and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Investigate business requirements, identify gaps, and proactively propose implementation approaches
- Create technical tasks, user stories, development estimates, and implementation plans
- Design and develop scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and web applications
- Develop production-ready code with appropriate unit and integration test coverage
- Perform peer code reviews and maintain code quality standards
- Support software releases and troubleshoot production issues
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, cybersecurity specialists, and customer stakeholders
- Contribute across the entire software development lifecycle, from design to production
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Java backend development, including Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, Gradle, and JUnit/Mockito
- Practical experience with Python and the Django framework
- Skills in designing and developing scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and web applications
- Background in relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent), including schema design, transactions, and query optimization
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, clean code practices, and maintainable software architecture
- Familiarity with Git, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development workflows
- Expertise in application monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability tools such as Datadog or equivalent
- Understanding of secure software development practices and cybersecurity fundamentals, including OWASP Top 10
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, SSO, RBAC, etc.)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with evolving requirements and minimal supervision, combined with strong verbal and written communication skills
- English level B2 or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization, and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Background in microservices architecture and event-driven systems with messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
- Familiarity with static code analysis and container vulnerability scanning tools such as Semgrep, SonarQube, BlackDuck, and Trivy
- Knowledge of infrastructure, HTTP, networking, TLS, DNS, and proxy fundamentals, along with system design and architecture discussions
- Exposure to cybersecurity, threat intelligence, risk, or compliance domains, including direct work with customers and stakeholders
- Capability to mentor developers and participate in technical leadership activities
