Job Description

About the role

Kaimetrix is looking for a Senior-Level Virtualization Engineer to help design and manage next-generation enterprise virtualization environments. This position supports highly available and scalable solutions built on hyper-converged infrastructure to meet performance and security objectives.

What you'll do

  • Design, configure, and maintain hyper-converged infrastructure using VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and related technologies
  • Manage virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments with Omnissa tools including Horizon, App Volumes, and Workspace ONE
  • Optimize virtualization performance and reliability through resource planning, patching, and monitoring
  • Participate in capacity planning and tech refresh initiatives to ensure infrastructure meets mission and service demands
  • Document architectural designs and participate in change boards and production readiness reviews
  • Ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity and configuration management standards

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of virtualization or systems engineering experience
  • A Master’s degree may substitute for 3 years of experience; a Bachelor’s for 1 year

Certifications:

  • VMware Certified Professional or equivalent intermediate-level virtualization certification

Clearance:

  • TS/SCI
