About the Role
We are looking for a Senior NodeJS Developer to join a high-performing Product & Engineering team focused on delivering scalable, real-time, data-driven applications.
In this role, you will play a key part in driving engineering excellence across modern SaaS products, contributing hands-on to the design, development, and delivery of platform enhancements and core system improvements. You will work closely with Developers, Product Managers, Designers, and QA teams to build reliable, scalable, and secure software solutions aligned with business and customer needs.
This is a highly collaborative senior engineering role where you will help shape architectural decisions, champion engineering best practices, mentor peers through knowledge sharing, and contribute to a strong culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is someone who combines strong backend engineering expertise with architectural thinking, product awareness, and a pragmatic approach to modern software delivery.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain scalable applications using NodeJS, TypeScript, MongoDB, Docker, and related technologiesContribute hands-on across the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and supportCollaborate closely with developers, designers, QA, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality product features and enhancementsParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and estimation sessionsReview technical designs, requirements, and specifications to provide constructive feedback and ensure engineering qualityIdentify technical risks, dependencies, and architectural considerations early in the development processDrive engineering best practices across CI/CD, testing, observability, security, and code qualityContribute to architectural strategy and support scalable, maintainable system design decisionsBuild and support real-time, event-driven, and data-intensive platform capabilitiesParticipate in an on-call support rota and contribute to incident resolution and operational stabilityCollaborate across business and technical teams to align engineering delivery with commercial and customer objectivesPromote knowledge sharing, documentation, and continuous improvement across the engineering organisationLeverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and delivery efficiencyRequirementsStrong professional experience with NodeJS and TypeScript in production environmentsStrong experience with MongoDB and NoSQL database design, including:
