Job description

Autoliv's primary goal is to Save More Lives. Our products never get a second chance. This is why we can never compromise on quality. We are working to increase vehicle safety by developing seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels and you can be part of our team as Senior Process Engineer.

In this role you will be responsible for assures compliance to Manufacturing Process Specifications and Corporate Process Specifications.

        Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:

  • Serve as the local subject matter expert in leather wrapping processes, ensuring compliance with Manufacturing Process Specifications and Corporate Process Specifications.

  • Act as the key liaison between local facilities and the global Steering Wheel Product Line, facilitating the sharing and implementation of best practices across regions.

  • Support production and new product development projects by providing guidance on equipment alignment, process optimization, and implementation of 1 Product / 1 Process (1P1P) strategies.

  • Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, cost, safety, automation, and productivity by standardizing leather wrapping equipment and processes.

  • Provide technical leadership and support to the Autonomous Manufacturing Organization, helping local operations achieve global process standards and operational excellence.

     If you have/are:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience working with leather manufacturing processes, preferably within the automotive industry (steering wheels, seats, center consoles, shift knobs, and similar components).

  • Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, including process flow design, line balancing, work instructions, and manufacturing optimization.

  • Experience supporting new business development and quotation activities, including cost estimation and process feasibility assessments.

  • Bilingual communication skills, with 100% proficiency in Spanish and at least 90% proficiency in English for effective collaboration with global and regional teams.
