Job Description

Shift: Shift 1 (Days)

FTE: 1.0 (FT)

Summary:

Coordinates the cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and dispensing of surgical instruments for daily surgical procedures in accordance with the standards of practice and policies of the hospital and department.

Education:

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent

* Successful completion of a Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician program

Experience:

* Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience

Credentials:

Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through the certification body of Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or the International Association of Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) or SPD Technician Certification (CSPDT) through the Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution (CBSPD).
