We are looking for a Senior Python Stack Developer to join our team. This role centers on strengthening cloud infrastructure and delivery practices while introducing AI-driven improvements into everyday engineering workflows. If you enjoy modernizing legacy systems and working across security, automation, and platform tooling, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Work within a spec-driven software development lifecycle
- Develop AI-driven improvements to design, delivery, and triage practices
- Evaluate new tooling and solutions as candidates for enterprise-level AI enablement offerings
- Design, build, and maintain AWS Lambda services and API Gateway endpoints using Python and boto3
- Lead the CI/CD migration from legacy cicd-functions pipelines to GitHub Actions workflows
- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform as the primary tool, along with Serverless frameworks
- Execute brownfield refactors, service decommissions, and migrations, such as OAuth migrations, WAF block-mode enablement, and Mythos SAST/SCA remediations
- Configure and tune AWS WAF rules, and resolve security findings surfaced by SAST and SCA tooling
- Integrate internal and third-party systems via REST APIs, such as ServiceNow OAuth client credentials flows
- Automate operational workflows and support agentic platform initiatives, with tools like n8n, LangChain, or equivalent orchestration frameworks considered a plus
- Collaborate with the SRE Consultant on telemetry gaps and Lambda-based data collection automation
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of Python development experience with a focus on AWS Lambda and API Gateway in production environments
- Fluency with boto3 across services including IAM, Secrets Manager, SSM, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and WAF
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code in production, including the ability to write, refactor, and review modules
- Experience with the Serverless Framework, including maintaining and migrating legacy stacks
- Experience with AWS WAF, including rule configuration, block-mode enablement, and incident response
- Familiarity with security tooling such as SAST and SCA, along with exposure to a structured compliance programme
- A brownfield mindset, with a proven track record of migrations, decommissions, and refactors rather than greenfield builds
- Excellent English proficiency (B2 level or higher)
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience authoring CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, and comfort working at the forefront of a cicd-functions to GHA migration
- Familiarity with ServiceNow
- Familiarity with Snowflake
