Job Description

Project description

Software system level testing is a very important step in the development process of our products and ensures that the system meets specifications.

The System Test Engineer is a key participant in the system level test process and provides important input to the product release decision making process.

Responsibilities

  • The Digital Platform system team consists of 9 people and follows an Agile/Kanban way of working.
  • You will do mostly manual testing, but automation will still be part of your activities.
  • Software baseline validation
  • · Execute the basic regression test on the software baseline
  • · Quality check of the project deliverables
  • · Contribute to requirement reviews with respect to testability
  • · Review project input documents (project test report, process conformance)
  • · Provide a quality verdict of the delivered software; accept/reject deliverables
  • Execute the alpha test of new software packages
  • · Execute alpha tests
  • · Report issues
  • · Write test reports, submit issue tickets
  • Process improvement
  • · Suggest process/tooling improvements where necessary
  • · Test automation
  • · Test system maintenance
  • · Make sure the test systems are in a good state and solve issues where needed

Skills

Must have

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology.
  • You will do mostly manual testing, but you understand test automation and will be ready to take automation tasks as well.
  • · You have between +5 years of experience as a Software Tester in a complex software development organization. For this role we are only looking to hire a senior experienced Tester;
  • · You are ISTQB certified (advanced level);
  • · You like to perform manual and automatic testing;
  • · You have strong debugging and analytic skills; you are experienced in defect analysis and bug fixing.
  • . You have a very good knowledge an experience in Python, Selenium and Linux
  • · Experience with CI/CD pipelines, integration of test processes across products, test automation and security testing,
  • · Experience working with Jira, BitBucket, Git, Polarion.
