Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development using C++.
- 5 years of experience with concurrent programming (e.g., multi-threading, asynchronous processing) or analyzing and optimizing software performance.
- 5 years of experience architecting and developing large-scale distributed systems (e.g., compute, storage, or databases).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience engineering database internals (e.g., storage engines, consensus algorithms, replication protocols, or query optimization).
- Experience building and operating high-throughput backend services, distributed architectures, or systems with strict high-availability requirements.
- Experience contributing to shared enterprise-level codebases or utilizing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and its impact.
